HHF provides sizable community grants - MSH receives funding for Court Square Project

A grant from the Helena Health Foundation in the amount of $75,000 has been given to Main Street Helena to be used in the development of the Court Square. Court Square is a one-block city park that will be located between the Phillips County Courthouse and the Federal Building in downtown Helena.

The Helena Health Foundation in partnership with the Delta Area Health Education Center held a groundbreaking Monday for an outdoor walking track, children’s playground, fitness stations, and pavilion to be constructed on the grounds of the Helena Health Wellness Center.

SFP gets Rural Development grant for H-WH – Revolving loan fund for redevelopment

U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor and Representative Marion Berry announced Wednesday that Southern Financial Partners in Arkadelphia will receive a $150,000 USDA Rural Development Grant to create a revolving loan fund to support the redevelopment of downtown Helena-West Helena. The money will help businesses that relocate or establish themselves in the downtown area.

Delta Yams awarded $1 million in state and federal funding

Arkansas Delta Yams, which experienced a bumper crop in its first year of operation in 2007, has been awarded $1 million in state-federal funding, Phillips County Judge Don Gentry announced Wednesday.
